Dargah Hazrath Patther wale Saheb(R H) درگاہ حضرت پتھر والے صاحب رحمۃ اللہ علیہ

Introduction to the Dargah of Hazrat Pathar Wale Saheb

Sultan ul  Awliya Al-ameen (king of saints Hazrat Syedna Sheikh Syed Abdul Quadir Jeelani Ghouse-ul-Azam Dastgir R.H, Baghdad, Iraq), the fifth (5th)  grandson, Hazrat Syed Saifuddin Sharafuddin Abu Zakariyya Yahya Quadri Razzaqi (R H), migrated from the city of Baghdad to the city of Hama (West-central Syria).

The lineal descendant, the tenth (10th) grandson Hazrat Sayyidul Abdaal Sultan ul Fuqara'a Sayyid Abdul Lateef Quadri Laoubali Al-Hamavi (R H), later migrated from Hama to the city of Hyderabad, Deccan, India, and then put down roots in Kurnool (Rayalaseema), Andhra Pradesh.

The youngest son Qutb-ul-Dawair Ashraf-ul-ma'asir Sayyidi Barhaq Hazrat Syed Shah Tahir Quadri (R H) moved from Kurnool to Adoni. From his descendants, the fourth grandson Qudwat-ul-Waasileen Majzoob ul-Majazeeb Hazrat Syed Shah Mohiuddin Badshah Quadri Laoubali Al-Jilaani (R H) migrated from Adoni to Hyderabad and settled in a tent inside Qutub Shahi Mosque.

He would sit on a mountain in a state of spiritual ecstasy (jazb) for fifteen (15) days (neither eating nor drinking, nor even moving from his place) in a month; for the other fifteen (15) days he would be in a state of sulook (self-purification toward divine love). That is why he became famous as the "Pathar Wale Saheb" ("the person sitting on the stone") among the public and shown countless miracles.

Hazrat Majzoob Al-Mujazeeb's (R H) grandson Hazrat Watad-e-Deccan Syed Shah Abdullah Shah Quadri Laoubali Al-Jeelani was his successor. He founded the All-India Mushaira in Khanqah on 15th August 1872 (1289 hijri) on the Urs of his grandfather, an event still celebrated annually with great splendor.

He also established a library in the Khanqah in 1854 (1270 hijri), considered the largest among all Khanqahs of India to date.

Currently, Dr. Syed Abdul Mohaimin Al-Quadri Laoubali Al-Jilaani (ufiya anhu) Pathar Wale Saheb is the fifth Sajjadah Nasheen (present successor) and director of the library.
